i try not to post too much fangirl type stuff on my blog but i came across this pic and from a film/acting admirers viewpoint found it very cool, it just happens to include Vincent D'Onofrio ;) the first pic is a photo of him at the Stanley Kubrick Exhibition that is currently going on in LA, watching Full Metal Jacket (which is arguably his most famous role). i just find that really awesome considering how far he's come. regardless of how attractive i think he is i really respect him as an actor and how involved he is in the independent film world

can't tell you how badly i wish i could go to this, mainly for the Shinning, but all the cool stuff happens in LA :p (the main reason i wanted to move to Cali in the first place) i'll have to find a cheap way to get out there, haven't been once since i moved.

i ended up not loving the Victorian Rose color i used the last time i reinstalled my extensions (well actually it's a fantastic color :) but i've just been in the mood for rocking darker shades lately). so i blended it with the Raspberry Crush to create a color i was happy with (and also so i didn't end up wasting a bunch of hair). i watched this video by Doctored Locks awhile ago and it's definitely what gave me the idea, check it out!

Hair reconstruction currently in progress, will be posting pics along the way.

Happy Turkey Day

tonight is arguably one of the biggest bar nights of the year but without my ID i'm stuck at home :p still waiting for it to come as i had it sent to somewhere in MI first. its probably for the better anyway since i don't have much money to party with at the moment and i'd also hate to miss the new SVU and AHS episodes tonight ^-^

so i did finish the dreads today, didn't have a chance to snap a pic but disappointed to say i'm not totally happy with the outcome. right at the end i ran out of auburn dreads so i had to put in three lighter pink ones -_- really wanted to eradicate that color completely but looks like i'll have to live with it a little longer. also don't have anything big planned tomorrow for Thanksgiving, this is actually the first time i'll be away from home for the holidays so its going to be a little weird. but me and my roomies are going to do dinner together so it should be a good time (i'll bring the booze ;).

here's a quick crappy webcam shot of my new dreads. not a huge change but i like it much more than the previous color combo, just feels like it suits me better.

 not actually totally done yet :p i always underestimate the time syn dreads take. but i'll hopefully have time to snap some better pics tomorrow during the day after i get the last few in.

not much to post except to say today sucked :p went into work at the costume shop and that was all fine but all time spent at home today nothing has gone right -_- also not feeling great and just in a horrible mood. i'm pretty much done with November, hasn't been my best month. just gonna wait it out and hope for better in December.

Flashback Friday, after a week of Harry Potter movies on ABC Family i thought it appropriate to post this pic of me circa 2009. i've always found it funny only one person has ever pointed out the one thing that doesn't really belong in this photo (if you know what it is then 10 points to Slytherin for you ;)

i really wish ABC Family would work the Prisoner of Azkaban back into its Harry Potter rotation, thats definitely my fave in the series followed by the Half Blood Prince, then Chamber of Secrets, Goblet of Fire and the second part of the Deathly Hallows. the rest i have no particular order for :p but i obviously love them all.

This is an older pic but I'm thinking of rocking this mask in my next photo shoot for my jewelry line to promote a new collection I'm working on.

 I am dying to take new photos, feels like its been ages :p but I really want to get my new dreads in first so it'll have to wait till those arrive (coming from the UK so it'll be a bit longer). And soon after I'll have to tackle the rest of my extensions and redo (if you can't tell they are looking rough), hoping I can get that all done before I start job hunting again. I'm sure it goes without saying I'm not looking forward to that at all.

**edit** also i know i owe you guys a proper Halloween blog :p promise it's coming soon with lots of pics

just got back from an unsuccessful trek to the Fabric Outlet -_- went there without having any idea of what i wanted hoping for inspiration. probably a bad idea in general. saw lots of awesome stuff but couldn't really find anything to work together to make new items for my shop. left with some chains that will possibly be made into some necklaces or bracelets but not really happy with the purchase. the lack of jewelry supply in this area is starting to suck, for instance i know exactly what i want to create when it comes to beaded items but not one place to get what i need. and i'd rather not order online as i like to see the quality of what i'm getting plus it's pricey. it's just really upsetting, i feel like now is the time grow and evolve my store but this is really holding me back (mustn't discount the lack of focus and direction, also a factor).

i've got till next week before i start looking around for more work so hopefully i can get new items that i'm happy with up in the store before then.

lately i've been feeling really indecisive. i want to do something new but i don't know what, want to make something new but don't know what. feel like opening new doors creatively but not sure how. just feel like there's something that i should be doing right now that i'm not and can't really figure out what that thing is :p it's frustrating. i also haven't been in a good place ever since losing my wallet, nothing really going right since that happened and i won't be able to get back into a good flow until all of that is sorted out. so hopefully i can get this month back on track soon, want to take some new pics and i'll be changing my hair a bit soon so maybe that'll help. any kind of transformation usually helps me get myself together.

Tonight I'm doing jewelry work and watching American Horror Story :) hoping the fact that I missed last weeks episode won't matter. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows.

C O S T U M I N G

Here are all my goodies from the costume shop. I think I love the masks the most but I've also always wanted a quality pair of fangs too :) I'm also pretty much set for Halloween next year too ^-^

i was definitely lucky to have such a fun job for October, it really made it feel like Halloween all month long (and made my birthday a little more fun too). i'll be getting my actual Halloween pics up soon (hopefully in tomorrows post). busy catching up on jewelry work so that comes first.

a peek at one of the creepy masks i got from work (along with a bunch of other great stuff) with some gift certificates i won in a raffle we had :):) i put on one of the Harley Quinn clown costumes we have and looked like i was straight out of Halloween 4.

will be posting the rest of all i acquired tomorrow.

decided i'm going to wait on posting all my new goodies from work till after i get a chance to use my gift certificates tomorrow and take pics of it all in the sunlight. instead heres a photo of some cat shirts ^-^

seriously though, these are the best looking shirts i've ever seen. i'm not huge on the whole cat shirt craze but there is just something so perfect about this entire design. it's cute, it's a lil creepy, and i would love to own one. Angelic Pretty is actually located in San Francisco and i have sadly not been able to make a trip there yet but when i get some extra cash i'm definitely going to check out the store and hopefully leave with something awesome.

Just in case I can't post tonight, here's my post ..I'm drunk ;p

So here's a random shot of the cool Halloween bags I got on sale at Walgreens. There is actually a law in San Francisco now that says all stores have to charge $0.10 for every bag :p so these will really come in handy (and I'll have a lil Halloween with me daily ;)

Other than that today sucked -_- work was fine but everything else just seemed to go wrong. I'm hoping me losing my wallet isn't the start of a stoke of bad luck. Would be a crappy way to start off my 30th year.

soooo i lost my fucking wallet last night -_- not a huge deal as i've cancelled all my cards and there was maybe $5 in there but it still sucks. i loved my Hello Kitty wallet and i also had lucky charm type things in one of the pockets so the things i can't replace matter more and it bums me out. but i ALWAYS do something like this on or around my birthday, had my wallet jacked in Detroit not too many years ago and once someone just took the cash out of it (my fault for leaving it unattended). you'd think as i get older i'd finally learn my lesson :p

so things are calming down at work so sometime here soon i'll post a proper Halloween blog with pics of my costume and also my coworkers as well. we had a big champagne toast at the end of the night to celebrate the fact all the Halloween craziness is over. and great news, they'll be keeping me on staff after the holiday shifts are over :):) couldn't be happier, i won't be getting many hours but just happy i still get to work there, it's lots of fun and all the people are really cool.

and starting next week i'll start catching up on jewelry stuff hardcore and possibly get started on redoing my hair soon. it always seems to be a total mess around Halloween but i guess that's appropriate ^-^

Missed posting right on Halloween because i ended up going out with coworkers. Had a great time but true to form i lost something really essential. Super upset about it so I'm not posting pics right now. There's still a chance I'll find it so please cross your fingers for me.
