W E E K 1

so i have to say my first week in San Francisco has gone pretty smoothly. got all my stuff without incident, have great roommates who showed me around and helped get me adjusted, and pretty much have all i need in my room. the only thing i'm missing is a comforter, ordered this one today ^-^

i've mentioned repeatedly how i want to do a graveyard theme and i think the black & grey combo is a great way to get that started. i do have bright pink polka dot sheets ATM (which i love) but down the line i hope to find some more horror type or slightly gothic ones. and i only have one gravestone but plan on obtaining more around Halloween time ;)

i also have to mention that the free cable we get here **suuucks**, if you've followed me for awhile you know what a challenge this is for me :p i'm sure it goes without saying i'll be taking care of that as soon as i can, hehe. 

A little sneak peek before I do a full out room tour(which will probably be a bit till i have my room exactly how i want it). Have all my collection stuff set up except for band memorabilia which I have no idea where to put :p still somewhat living out of boxes ATM until I get some decent furniture.

i swear the only time i miss updating this blog is after a night out :p i'll have to make sure i do it in the morning in these cases from now on. so i did pretty much nothing yesterday as we partied pretty hard on friday. mix that with me still getting use to the time difference and you pretty much get my zombie mode ;) will definitely be busy today though unpacking and getting my room set up followed by immediate jewelry making. i've been itching to make new stuff ever since i closed the store so i'll be working on that all week. store should be reopened today though with a sale in honor of me now being a Cali resident.

Tonight's Outfit

today was slightly more eventful as me and some of my roommates took off in the chilly weather to visit Haight St. for lunch and some shopping. two things i forgot about from my short visit to San Francisco in 2010 1) it gets pretty cold here sometimes which i actually prefer as i still get to live in my hoodies for the moment ^-^ and 2) it is really hard to walk uphill if you're not used to it :p i'm terribly out of shape so my legs were screaming only 5minutes into the journey. but i do enjoy having almost everything in walking distance and i hope all the foot traffic will counter out all the good food i've been eating. snapped a few pics with my iPhone on the way. really wish i would've got some of all the awesome stores that exist in that area but i was too busy taking it all in by that point ;)

also got this skirt and bracelet from a stripper store i went to the first time i was here and had totally regretted not having enough money to buy everything i wanted :p came across a few more stores that will surely help me go broke if i'm not careful, hehe. 

tomorrow i'll probably spend most of the day waiting for all my boxes to arrive but we're finally supposed to go clubbing at night. definitely ready to get my drink on in Cali.

So I nearly missed posting today as I got a new bed and immediately fell asleep upon laying down on it :p also still getting use to the time difference. Tomorrow I'll hopefully have some pics to post since we plan on walking around & possibly do some shopping, may venture out to a bar or two ;) will definitely be hitting a club this weekend when my friends get off work.

First Day In Cali

so this is my view as i post my first blog entry from my room in San Francisco

my laptop set up on my suitcase because that's all i have at the moment :p just some clothes and other necessities. boxes are supposed to arrive friday and i'm hoping to get a bed sorted tomorrow. but even though i'll be without all my stuff for awhile it just feels good to be here. went out for pizza with my new roommates and played crazy Wii games :) now unpacking while watching SVU on my computer, love that they have full episodes on their website ^-^ will hopefully get a TV asap and then i'll really be feeling at home ;)

San Francisco here i come...

tomorrow's my last full day in Kalamazoo so i wanted to post a fun pic from one of the parties we had around here. yes Kzoo can be boring but the music is always great and we always knew how to have a good time :)

Having a few drinks while I clean my room for the last time. Not able to hang with friends tonight so kinda my way of celebrating ;) also have some Jack Daniel's that I don't want to waste so figured I might as well finish it off ^-^

so now that i'm all done packing and my boxes are on their way to Cali. i've got my plane ticket booked & i'm pretty much just chilling in Kzoo until my flight, the one thing i still need is a bed :p very essential item i should've taken care of weeks ago but i'm the worlds best procrastinator. so i've spent all night searching sites and local places in San Francisco that can pretty much deliver a bed (well really just a mattress for now as all i need is something to sleep on) the same day...and i actually found one :) so hopefully i'll get that all sorted tomorrow and be totally set for my move ^-^ so excited to finally get out of here and to be with some of my best friends again.

officially taped up my last box tonight (minus a few i'll be shipping with books via USPS flat rate since they weigh so much), half my life stuffed into 10 boxes. the move totally becoming more real now and i'm sure it'll be even more so after they take all of it away tomorrow morning. i seriously cannot wait for Tuesday to get here :p every time i have to go out in this snow i just keep telling myself 'only a few more days'. i'm not the suns biggest fan but i'll be embracing it with open arms.

as i'm sure you can expect i'm pretty busy ATM but i did want to post about the closing of my shop for a few weeks due to the move. i'm planning on reopening sometime early Feb but i'll also be working on a new line and lots of new items after i'm all settled. so i may hold off until i've got the entire line ready and have a grand reopening with a whole new direction for Sugar & Spice ^-^ we shall see how the move affects my creative process and ideas, i'm hoping it'll be for the better.

Getting there :p it's a lot harder than I thought deciding which clothes are coming with me and which are staying here

so i totally missed my 3rd blog yesterday -_- not surprising as i'm horrible at keeping up with stuff. told myself three strikes your out, i guess i can't really call this a 365day challenge anymore :p but that does not mean i'm going to stop posting everyday ;) and just like the other two times i missed, i'll be posting another blog entry to make up for it later today. it'll be slightly ironic if, from now on, i don't miss a single day.

Not much time to post as I'm about to head out for my last night out on the town in Kzoo. Here's my outfit

This is going to be my night :p lots of packing. I have tons of unused Xmas paper so I thought it'd be perfect to use as packing material. Pretty much decided just to ship my stuff as I'm pretty sure I'll only have a few boxes. But I finally booked my flight last night :):) so as of Jan 24th I'll finally be out of Kalamazoo! Can't wait

ugh, moving headaches -_- can't find movers (will probably end up shipping which will save money in the end anyway), trying to find affordable flights but all the travel sites have horrible reviews and it's too expensive to go through the airlines since i'm buying my ticket so late. will pretty much have to choose the lesser of two evils. oh well, no one ever said this was going to be easy ;) and it's going to be more than well worth it in the end so i can put up with the struggle.

C A L I F O R N I A

a while back my friends in Cali sent me pics of what my room looks like in San Francisco and i promised to post them so here they are :)

i'm in love with it already :p (i've always wanted hardwood floors). if you haven't heard the story yet i'll be moving to San Francisco by the end of the month. a bunch of my friends moved out to California about 5-6 years ago and it had always been my intention to join them. but a lot of stuff came up over the years and kept getting in the way. now they have a house out in San Fran and offered me a room in it, of course i said hell yes ;) it's been a dream of mine for so long now so i'm really excited it's finally happening. 

i had planned to leave on the 12th but i've had trouble finding a moving company so i had to push the date back a bit. i'm actually just now starting to pack tonight :p planning to contact as many companies as i can tomorrow so hopefully i'll have it all worked out and i'll be on my way soon!

tonight i definitely have to blog about the return of one of my favorite shows, Shameless!

besides Law & Order series for me this is easily the best show on television. i watched almost the entire first season in one day onDemand and was instantly hooked. if you have not checked it out i suggest you do so :) the second season starts tonight on Showtime

behind me is some of the aftermath from shooting a vid featuring most of the loot i've gathered from shows. will be editing it all tomorrow and probably then some. it's been quite awhile since i've dealt with anything but still frames when making movies so it'll be a challenge.

and it was definitely a rush seeing a huge part of my life for the past few years laid out like this, lots of memories of all the good times i've had :)

i'm finally getting around to making my next YouTube vid. the holidays and being sick set me back a bit :p i'm also still struggling with finding a moving company to help get me the hell outta Kalamazoo. will start filming soon but here's one of the things i'll be featuring

this is just some of my A7X ticket stubs. to be honest i was even surprised at the amount especially since i have a bunch more mixed in with another pile of stubs from other shows. i hate to admit that most all my memorabilia stuff is just in one big box until i find a proper way to display everything...any ideas?

so totally thought i was getting better today. but right now my face feels all stuffed up, and heated, like not good at all :p this kind of always happens right at the start of the year, always have some kind of health issue. i'm sure i'll be totally fine in a day or so but it's still such and inconvenience especially with all the stuff i need to do in the next few weeks. oh well, i'll be crawling into bed for the rest of the day and hoping i'm well tomorrow.
