it's that time of year where bunnies are everywhere which is something i'm obviously a fan of :) so i snapped this photo of some of the bunny heads we have at work. i've seen these in other pics and they pretty much always seem creepy to me :p definitely wouldn't mind doing some kind of bizarre photo shoot involving one of these

H A I R

finished installing my extensions today. Here's a quick iPhone pic, will snap some better ones when I find the time.

it's official, i'll be making a trip back to Michigan mid-May! excited to see fam and friends and also be reunited with belongings i've been missing. crossing my fingers i'll be able to take in a show with my concert fam too, we shall see. either way i can't wait :):)

unwinding after a crazy day at work. i'm quite aware my blog is becoming continually more boring but i do have some cool updates on the way. first off if you want to meet me and you live in SF you can do so next week  at this event

and i'm sure i'll have photos and stories to tell after it's all over so expect a nice post from this :) also, as always i'll post a hair blog when i'm done with installing my extensions not to mention i'll be working on someone else's hair for the first time ever soon after that. i'm sure i'll take lots of pics of that as well. so please keep checking back, everything i do is in perpetual state of 'work in progress' :p i'm working on, working on, becoming a better blogger (i'm sure that only makes sense to me).

New furniture!

Busy planning a trip back to Kzoo for later this year. Even though it looks like I'll be back in May don't think I'll be hitting ROTR or DEMF :p we'll see

H A I R W O R K

spent the entire day braiding now i'm customizing some of my belongings. lots of people ask me my why i don't wear more of my own jewelry and the answer simply is i rarely find the time to make anything for myself. this really needs to change not only because it's more fun and a good way to save money but also a good test run for new ideas and items. i'll definitely be making more of an effort.

My second year in a row not celebrating the holiday. Next St. Patrick's Day I vow to consume copious amounts of green beer.

W A R D R O B E

watching Harry Potter always makes me bust out my Slytherin gear ^-^ i have at least 5 different shirts, two with Malfoy and three with the crest. i think all of them came from Hot Topic. the sweater i got from Goodwill and the skirt i'm pretty sure i got at Debs when i was in high school :p

Flashback Friday

one of my FB friends started a group on there today and filled it with old school party pics so i thought i'd share one for Flashback Friday

i am only guesstimating but think i'm about 18yrs old here

i literally wore that kandi every single day to every kind of activity, event, or occasion (excluding the time i was in my high school play and forbidden to wear them, but they went back on right after the rehearsals and  shows were over :p)

surprise, i'm going brunette this time ^-^

i wanted a color to match my dreads better so i got the auburn shade Shape Shifters offers. it's called Cabernet and i fell in love with it so much that i decided to make it the predominant color. i think it compliments the pink really well and i'll still be using plenty of that color too ;) but i must admit i find myself drifting towards more natural colors these days, even my pink is toned down compared to past shades i've used. 

it's also worth mentioning that the more natural a color is when using synthetic extensions the more manageable the hair will be. when i had the light pink in my hair it was really coarse, was harder to braid in, and got tangled more easily. but the darker shades seem to be softer, go in easier, and last way longer because it's easy to untangle. just for the ease i'll probably be sticking with these colors for awhile.

so here's a progress pic. i'm moving pretty quickly :) hoping to have it done by the 26th! 

in the process of redoing my hair. will post my progress tomorrow along with pics of the colors i'm using this time.

currently having wine with my dinner at home tonight, i think this officially makes me an adult.

this photo was posted on Eli Roth's Instagram today and i have to say i'm pretty excited for this :) never mind being just completely in love with the movie poster but i'm a fan of a lot of what Eli Roth does

(i also think the fact it's a Netflix series is genius)

i came across a Bad Business blog today putting on blast stores online that have really poor customer service. and being a small online business i just wanted to make a statement about how important good customer service is to me and that the happiness of my customers always comes first in my store. please know that if you ever have a question about an item i sell, an order you have placed, shipping time, or if you are unhappy with your purchase you can contact me and i will always be ready and willing to help :) as an avid online shopper myself i know that one of the most important things (IMO at least) is communication between seller and buyer, and that's something i'll always take seriously in all my business dealings.
