Still dealing with a slight problem with my actual Halloween costume. This is the only nurse dress I have which obviously doesn't really work for the Silent Hill nurses. Checked a few of the local shops and no luck there either. My work has something that I may be able to alter and hope for the best but other than that I may have to change my costume last minute tonight :p it sucks but whatever I do it'll be gory ;) i'll be up late covering whatever I end up wearing in blood

so i watched Nightmare On Elm Street 2 today and it reminded me of the awesome Horror Con i went to last year where i had the chance to meet Mark Patton. me and my sister got a great pic with him so i wanted to share that again as the Elm Street films will always be among my favorite horror flicks and it was great to have the opportunity (especially around my birthday :)

i have a few to post from my Halloween weekend activities when i can find the time to edit them. i'll also be doing another costume for work on Halloween day. i'll be attempting one of the nurses from Silent Hill (closer to the version from the first movie rather than the one that just came out) but i don't even have the nurse dress yet so i'll be throwing it together last minute tomorrow. hopefully i can make it work ;)

Sorry for no post yesterday :p that's strike one for me, if I miss two more days I will have failed once again on the 365 day blog (but I'm not going to let the happen ;).

Getting home at 4am after Halloween partying and then having to goto work it wasn't even on my mind when I got home yesterday. But I'll be making another post later today with pics from the weekend so stay tuned.

so unfortunately these are all the parties I'm not going to this weekend :p we waited too late and lots of the big events are sold out. but me and my roommates found a few good places with DJs & costume contests so we'll be trying our luck tomorrow night.

not going to post what my costume will be tonight as I have a few ideas floating around ;) but I'll definitively have some photos up in my next post.

So I'm writing this as I walk home from work. It's the latest night I've ever had at the costume shop and I want to make sure I get a post in before midnight. Also have jewelry work to finish when I'm home :p still learning to juggle this new schedule. I must say though I don't mind walking in the light of the almost full moon :)

Also just found this jack o lantern on our doorstep :) looks like my roommates are in the spirit of the season

This is my outfit for tomorrows dress up day at work, Raver Day :) kind of an Alice and the Rabbit feel. I'll also be wearing my Furries and lots of Kandi of course.

Dirrty 30

so today is my 30th birthday and the start of my 365 Day blogging challenge yet again. i didn't do a great job last year so it's a goal of mine to keep up with this blog daily and chronicle my first Dirrty 30 year :)

and since it's October and Halloween is next week i thought photos from my costume from one of our dress up days at work would be a proper first post. we've got lots of different kinds of fake blood and other great gore makeup, for this look i used Mehron Coagulated Blood Gel and Rigid Collodion with Ben Nye makeup on top to get the Jack Skellignton scar. i've tried lots of different fake bloods over the years and this is the best i've ever found, i'll definitely be playing around with it more and taking more bloody pics soon

so no big party plans tonight (not much going down on a Tuesday :p) but i'm about to head out for a BDay dinner with my roommates and definitely planning to hit one crazy Halloween party before October is over.

Here's one of the display windows from the Costume Shop I work at. I had no part in making it but my coworkers have been busy the past few days getting the store ready for Halloween.

so i'm pretty proud of myself for having my new HALLOWEEN KANDI Bangle Sets done in time to list them right at the start of October. if you follow me at all anywhere on the net you know i'm quite the procrastinator ;)

these can currently be purchased in my Store and i'm hoping to add more sets throughout the month.

so now that October is here i will be blogging every day leading up to the start of my 365 Day Blogging Challenge which i'll cleverly be titling Dirrty 30. not very original i know, but definitely appropriate. i'm also one of those people who celebrates my birthday all month long. i wish that meant partying every day :p but really just means that i try to have fun all month, do the stuff i love, or even just catching a fave horror flick (which you can imagine are not scarce this month :):), as long as i'm celebrating the month of October.

and if you haven't heard yet i'm working at a costume shop all month (dream job!) so i get to dress up for work and pretty much just be surrounded by what i love all day long so i think it's going to be a really fun October and a great start to my 30th year.
